About the role:
The Chef de Partie will share our passion for excellence and will be enthusiastic about creating a memorable guest experience. The Chef de Partie will be a part of a diverse and dynamic team which provides award-winning service to our valued guests. This position reports to the Executive Chef.
A Maldivian work permit will be provided by the resort.
What you will do:
- Responsible for the day to day key processes in his/her area of work
- Where applicable, act as shift leader; leads and motivates colleagues by example and promotes teamwork
- Assume training responsibilities when required; demonstrates a high degree of standards awareness
- Actively offer operational, employee and customer (internal and external) related feedback to management
- Display warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives the Golden Rule
- Prepare food hygenically, timely and economically as per standard recipes and procedures
- Ensure consistency in taste and temperature, presentation, portion control and general quality of all food served
- Assist his/her superiors in managing and supervising the kitchen
- Develop recipe cards and products, daily specials
- Work in all areas of food preparation as and when directed
- Adhere to the hotel's code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards
- Seen as working hands-on, assists colleages in crunch times; Walks the talk
- Actively participates in briefings and meetings; facilitates communication between employees and management
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and promotes a safe working environment
- Perform any additional duties as assigned
- Assist in making food requisitions and daily market lists
- Receive raw products at loading dock and ensures quality, quantity and prices meet hotel's specification
- Ensure all mise en place and work station is complete and manning in place prior to operation
- Accommodate the food servers' requests regarding guest preferences
What you bring:
- 4 - 5 years of relevant experience in 5 star Hotels/Resorts
- Excellent English, math and psychometric abilities
- Aptitude and upward mobility. Internal candidates will have successfully completed the SDP course
- Technical education in Hospitality or Culinary school is preferred

Schedule & Hours:
This is a full time position
48 hours a week with one day off
